Yea yea i went for a fishing trip in indonesia , Tanjung pinang …. i know i know .. please pick up ur jaws ppl .. its unsightly .
Many of you must be thinking "What THE … fishing trip ?!"
A fishing trip is really not for the faint hearted and those who have motion sickness . 2 days on a boat is really not a joke if u have motion sickness LOL ! Fortunately for me , I dun HAHAHA~
Anyway i like fishing in a sense but my dad nv really teach me the ropes of fishing which is quite fine with me actually. I do not like the idea of grabbing wriggly worms and slimy squid to put on an uber sharp hook. So most of the time when i go fishing , my dad will do all the icky stuff for me and i just have to learn how to throw and reel (Ahhh the perks of being a gurl LOL)(PS:my BF does it for me too LOL poor thing hahaha)
But on this trip … i saw Flying fish(A small fish which have long and big fins whick akin to wings and they glide on the surface of water once they gain enuff speed underwater) , Sucker fish(The kind tat sticks itself on the underbelly of a shark/whale) , ‘Hai Luei’ (seriously i duno wad issit but the flesh is tender and nice and it looks like one hugeass catfish to me) and Yellowtail fish (those that your grandma would love to have and make into fishball). There are others too but i’m too noob to know the fishes name LOL.
I went there with my dad and his frens , joining the noob in rank with me is my brother LOL . Yes we were there with zilch deep sea fishing experience while the others were like have hugeass reel and big tackle box. Me ? I brought a pink mircobeads headrest cum huggies. The others kept wanting to take my pinky huggies to use as bait ! … Baddies .
anyway Fishing on the first day was fun . I Learned to overcome my icky feeling and put the bait on the hook myself . Bait of the day ! Freshly caught SOTONG … one of the boatman gave me a freshly caught WHOLE sotong to use at bait but … he threw it at me …. and the squishy thing landed on the floor I REFUSED to pick it up . poor sotong was still … squirting the black ink …..after a while another boatman came and pick it up and put it on the hook for me . YaY ~ no need to touch squishy sotong LOL!!!
Fishing was boring when there is no fish bite .. i was so sad i didn’t put in songs into my mp3player … all i could do is yawn and wait for fish . the worst thing is this boatman was standing beside me kept pulling up fishing while my rod nv even tweak 1 cm >.< …. Irony of fishing …. LOL
The cook on board cooks up some mean simple fare and we had fried fishes like those in nasi lemak . Difference is the fish is freshly caught by us and clean and fried . Whao its really different to eat fish freshly caught ! The flesh is sweet and tender … finger licking good LOL! I nv really like to eat nasi lemak fishes becos 1:lazy to pick at bones , 2: the stomache area of the fish got too many bones , 3: dislike the fishy smell on my fingers after eating the fish … but this time round on the boat … i ate and i ate the fishes :D~~~~~~~~~
i tink prolly becos of the sea smell and all ard the boat there is this fishy smell becos of the squids cut up and left ard the boat in containers for us to use as bait so the fishy smell of the fish on my fingers really didn’t register . LOLz .
Oh yar the perks of the fishing trip wouldve to be the stary nites . I cannot lament enough on how Beautiful the skys were at night . there were like Hundreds of stars and stardust even I have nv seen this much stars in singapore !!! its really beautiful and lomantik !. Tried to take pictures with my camera but .. seems like my camera not good enuff LOL !! SO i only brought back a picture of the skys in my head xD
if given the chance again i would love to go again ! Screw the fishy smell and rocky boat ! Starry Skys ROX !
I’m now recuperating from my rocking and sorely missed sleep onboard . zzzzzzzzzZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz
I wanna watch it man .. hopefully can catch it with my darling tomolo or something …
